This FAQ provides important information and clarification on participation, logistics, activities, welfare, and employment-related matters relating to the WQ XV: REIGNITE.

Purpose of the Retreat

The WQ XV: REIGNITE Retreat is an official company programme and forms an integral part of the Company’s training and development initiatives. It is designed to strengthen teamwork, enhance communication, cultivate leadership capabilities, and reinforce organisational alignment.

Participation & Eligibility

The retreat is organised for confirmed WQ Park employees with more than six (6) months of service. Attendance constitutes part of the Company’s organisational engagement and training commitment.
Participants are expected to attend the entire retreat, including official transportation, scheduled activities, and all programmed sessions. Partial attendance, late arrival, or early departure is strongly discouraged.

Cost Coverage

The retreat is fully sponsored by the Company, covering:

  1. Official transportation
  2. Accommodation
  3. Meals
  4. Training activities
  5. All scheduled programme sessions

Any personal expenses or non-programme-related costs shall be borne by the individual participant.

Transportation & Programme Flow

Official transportation will be arranged and provided by the Company. The retreat programme commences from the point of departure, including engagement and training related activities conducted during the bus journey.

To ensure programme effectiveness and fairness to all participants, late arrivals, early departures, or partial participation are discouraged.

Accommodation & Room Allocation

Accommodation will be arranged on a twin-sharing basis (one room, two persons). Room allocation will be solely determined by Management based on training objectives and operational considerations. Requests for specific roommates, single occupancy, family rooms, or room changes will not be accommodated.

Activities & Participation Expectations

The retreat programme comprises a structured combination of:

  1. Indoor training sessions
  2. Outdoor team-building activities
  3. Group discussions
  4. Scheduled free-and-easy periods

All scheduled activities are compulsory, as they form part of the Company’s formal training
programme. Each activity is purposefully designed to support teamwork, communication,
leadership development, and organisational alignment, in line with the retreat’s objectives.

Dietary Requirements & Food Allergies

All meals will be centrally arranged as part of the retreat programme. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be provided. Employees with specific dietary preferences, food allergies, medical dietary restrictions, or religious requirements must declare such information in advance during registration or upon request by HR. While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate declared needs, participants are advised to exercise personal discretion and caution.

Health, Medical & Special Considerations

Employees with medical conditions, physical limitations, pregnancy-related considerations, or travel safety concerns must inform HR at the earliest opportunity.

Any necessary adjustments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with health and safety as the primary priority. Exemptions are not automatic and remain subject to management assessment.

Dress Code & Attire

Comfortable and appropriate attire is recommended for daytime training and outdoor activities. A themed dress code will apply for the Gala Night. Further details will be communicated separately through official channels.

Gala Night & Social Activities

The Gala Night forms part of the official retreat programme and serves as a recognition and engagement session aligned with the retreat’s training objectives. All activities during the Gala Night and throughout the retreat are expected to be conducted in a professional, respectful, and inclusive manner.

Rest Day & Off Day Clarification (Saturday & Sunday)

Retreat activities scheduled on Saturday, 7 February, and Sunday, 8 February, form part of the official Company-directed training programme. Activities on Sunday will conclude at 11.00 a.m., after which participants will return to their respective centres.

Participation during these days is regarded as a work-related training activity conducted in the interest of organisational development. As per the Company practice, participation in Company-mandated training does not automatically constitute overtime, nor does it give rise to an entitlement to overtime payments, additional allowances, or replacement leave.

Any rest day, off day, or time-off entitlement, where applicable, will be administered strictly in accordance with the Company’s established HR policies, subject to eligibility criteria, operational requirements, and management approval.

The Company reserves the right to determine the appropriate treatment of rest days or any form of compensation, if applicable, in line with internal policy frameworks and regulatory requirements.

As the retreat is fully sponsored by the Company and forms part of structured training and engagement initiatives, no additional claims or compensation will be entertained beyond approved internal HR policies.

Leave, Public Holiday & Work Commitments

As the retreat constitutes Company-provided training, attendance is expected even where it coincides with weekends or public holidays. Any inability to attend must be formally communicated in advance and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Safety, Welfare & Conduct

A designated welfare and safety team will be present throughout the retreat to support participants. All employees are expected to uphold high standards of professional conduct, mutual respect, cooperation, and active participation at all times.

Communication & Updates

Final details relating to the venue, programme schedule, transportation points, packing guidelines, and training flow will be communicated through official Company channels closer to the retreat date.
